LexMom Spotlight: Ashley Marie Baker

On February 8, 2018 our LexMom community gained a new member! Ashley has made herself known by commenting and offering compassionate care, words of wisdom, and love to everyone in our group and we are so thankful for her. She recently had a baby and even then, when we reached out to her to let her know she was our top contributor and our LexMom spotlight, she didn't hesitate to jump in and say yes! Thanks for being so awesome, Ashley!

How many children do you have?

Two daughters, a 19 month old and 2 day old.

What is your favorite thing about parenthood?

Honestly, the snuggles and the sense of purpose I finally have now that I’m a mom.

What is your least favorite think about parenthood?

Poop diapers and having to repeat “no!” or “stop!” 8 million times a day.

How do you unwind?

By hiding in the bathroom for ten minutes reading Facebook or watching Fail video compilations (because I’m lame like that!)

Any advice for a new mom?

Don’t let social media make you think you’re a bad mom just because you don’t match up with someone else’s “perfect mom” pictures and stories.

Sweet tea (alcohol drink is black cherry mikes hard lemonade).

Favorite dessert:

Cheesecake (practically any kind of it!)
